These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the NOVA — Break the Chain mobile application (“NOVA”, the “app”), developed and operated by Marek Kači, Andrusovova 1032/2, 851 01 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, regardless of which app store you downloaded NOVA from. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. What NOVA is

NOVA is a faith-rooted self-improvement companion that helps you break free from pornography and build healthier habits through reminders, journaling, encouragement, and an in-app mentor.

Important: NOVA is not a medical or clinical service and does not provide medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. It is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis or need support, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use NOVA.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for the activity under your account. Please provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or access it in unauthorized ways.
Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Do not upload content that infringes the rights of others.

5. Community features & content moderation

NOVA includes optional community features — the Community feed and Brothers (private, one‑to‑one messaging between users) — where you can share posts, comments, and messages with other users. Before joining the Community feed, you must accept the Brotherhood Codex, our community rules, which are shown to you in the app and govern what you may post.

Other users can report a post or comment that appears to violate the Codex or these Terms. We may review reported content and hide or permanently remove it, and we will generally notify you in-app if we do. Depending on the severity or frequency of violations, we may restrict your access to community features for a limited period (for example, 7, 14, or 30 days) or, for repeated or serious violations, permanently. A restriction of this kind only limits posting, commenting, and messaging — it does not otherwise affect your account, your subscription, or your existing content.

6. The AI mentor

The in-app mentor (Sentiel) generates automated responses for encouragement and reflection. Its responses may not always be accurate and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

7. Intellectual property

The app, its name, logo, and content (excluding content you create) are owned by NOVA and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will achieve any particular result.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NOVA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

10. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if these Terms are violated. As described in Section 5, we may also restrict access to specific features (such as Community or Brothers) — temporarily or permanently — without terminating your account entirely.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
